The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has affirmed a decision from the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) concerning a patent dispute between ELCO Lighting and DMF Inc. The PTAB had previously found that ELCO Lighting failed to prove a claim from DMF Inc.’s LED lighting system patent was invalid. In their ruling, the Federal Circuit labeled one of ELCO’s arguments as “meritless.”
