Nokia Secures Settlement in Wireless Patent Infringement Case, Exiting Pre-Trial Tensions

Nokia has reached a settlement in a lawsuit involving allegations of patent infringement related to wireless communications technologies. The lawsuit initially accused Nokia’s customer, T-Mobile, and its other network equipment supplier, Ericsson, of using patented technology without permission. This agreement, filed in the Texas federal court, allows Nokia to exit the dispute ahead of a trial originally set for April 5. Meanwhile, T-Mobile and Ericsson remain defendants in the case and are expected to proceed to trial.
