Reed Smith has announced the addition of Rebecca Fike as a partner in its Global Regulatory Enforcement Group, based in the Dallas office. Fike, a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigations and enforcement, joins the firm from Vinson & Elkins, where she was a partner focusing on SEC defense and compliance advisory.
Prior to her tenure at Vinson & Elkins, Fike served nearly a decade as senior counsel in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement. During this period, she led numerous high-profile investigations, coordinated with parallel civil and criminal authorities, and received multiple awards for excellence in investigative work. Her experience encompasses handling sensitive internal investigations, often in whistleblower or auditor-driven scenarios, as well as proactive compliance counseling to help clients avoid regulatory inquiries.

Joining Fike in the move to Reed Smith is associate Carolyn Rietig. The duo previously collaborated at Vinson & Elkins, focusing on government investigations and white-collar defense.
