Ikea to Face LED Patent Infringement Claims in Texas Court

Swedish furniture giant Ikea’s U.S. arm is compelled under a Texas court’s ruling to answer a patent infringement claim over LED technology. The Western District of Texas has denied Ikea’s request to move the case to Delaware. The court determined that the forum selection clause in an agreement between Ikea and Taiwan’s Everlight Electronics pertains solely to commercial negotiations. Read more from Law360.
