Rust Armorer Expresses Regret Over Insufficient Gun Check in New Mexico Jury Testimony

In a recent development on Tuesday, a New Mexico state jury was shown a law enforcement interview where Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer responsible for the firearms on the movie set of “Rust”, expressed her grief for not having made a more thorough check of the prop gun. As it is known, said gun was misfired by actor Alec Baldwin which tragically resulted in the death of a cinematographer.

Gutierrez-Reed’s regretful admission stemmed from the October 2021 incident on the set of the movie “Rust”. Baldwin, who was rehearsing a scene, allegedly discharged a ‘prop’ gun that fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.
