EY Promotes David Weintraub to Global General Counsel and Vice Chair

Global accounting and consulting firm EY has announced the promotion of David Weintraub to global general counsel and vice chair. The role change, which comes into effect on July 1, marks a transition from Weintraub’s current position as global deputy general counsel, a title he has held since 2014.

Weintraub joined EY as a U.S. deputy general counsel back in 2010. He takes over from Michael Solender, who is retiring on June 30 after an extensive 33-year legal career. Solender has spent the last 15 years at EY, with the most recent decade serving as the company’s legal chief.
