Los Angeles courthouses will reopen Tuesday “with limited functionality” following a ransomware attack that incapacitated computer networks across the nation’s largest trial court system. The attack, detected last Friday, led to the closure of all 36 courthouses in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday as technicians worked to restore databases and documents.
According to court officials, the court will operate with “limited functionality” as IT teams continue efforts to fully restore network services disrupted by the hack. Law enforcement agencies are also involved in reviewing the security breach, underscoring the severity of the incident.
